Umbria is the “Green Heart of Italy”, all this vegetation is ideal for finding pollen for honey. Umbrian beekeeping dates back to the first civilizations that inhabited the region and was greatly perfected by the Etruscans and Romans.

As a variety, Umbrian honey producers make chestnut honey which is the most bitter of the other classic honeys, the wildflower most commercialized and used in various ways, alfalfa honey and acacia honey. With our Honey Tours we will guide you through the whole honey process from hive to jar and reveal the secret life of Bees.
